During the last two weeks of June, I was invited to help facilitate two training courses.
The 1st training was more on one’s journey of fitting into God’s plan to be a blessing to the people of the world: people from your own culture and people from other cultures. The second one was about building relationships and raising funds.
Those two weeks were really full for me and for the others in the team. But we are thankful to God that we have been able to finish the training and to hear the participants share at the end how the training has helped them.
There were some technical issues during the training. Not major ones but only minor ones, like programming the TV screen to show the videos we were playing on our laptops which were part of our training. We had a good sound system during the training, including microphones which I really appreciated. I thought these are great quality! The quality of the technical things that you need during a training do matter.
So far, the next training I am invited to be involved in will be held last week of August. Unlike the June training, I would need to travel to another city for this one.
What I like about running a training is, aside from the participants learning from it, I also learn a lot in the process. I have come to appreciate that even if I had already run a training before (with different participants, venue), there is always something new to learn from the experience. I think it’s amazing how much we can also learn from others. It’s not only the participants who learn from the training but also the trainers and facilitators.
